A beautiful Indiana wedding venue for photography

Historic Laurel Hall on the northeast side of Indianapolis is one of my favorite wedding venues in the city. It holds a special place in my heart, not only because my husband and I were married here, but also for its charm, elegance, and versatility. This beautiful estate is akin to an American castle. Built in 1916 to serve as a family home, Laurel Hall has had many owners and has served many purposes throughout the years. It now operates as the headquarters for the Phi Kappa Psi Foundation and is available as a luxurious venue for weddings and other events. Timeless Laurel Hall is the perfect backdrop for a picturesque wedding day. It is an ideal venue for beautiful wedding photos, situated on six acres of well-manicured grounds with abundant natural light flowing in through the numerous windows in each room of the estate.

Guests are first invited into the grand lobby with stunning hardwood, stately furniture, eye-catching stained-glass windows, tall ceilings, unique oriental rugs, and an impressive multi-story grand staircase. Ornately carved mantelpieces on sizable fireplaces are situated throughout the entryway and other rooms. Elegant architectural details are present throughout the 36,000 square feet of the Laurel Hall mansion.

Laurel Hall’s gorgeous bridal suite upstairs provides a comfortable space for the bridal party to glam up for the coming celebration. Natural light flows through the large windows and light-colored vintage furniture makes the perfect backdrop for bridal photos.

The selections for Laurel Hall wedding ceremonies are abundant: from the third-floor chapel with an elegant small-church feel, to the solarium with beautiful high arched windows, to the multiple outdoor ceremony spaces across the Laurel Hall landscape, accessed by stately stone stairwells.

After the ceremony, the wedding party, guests, and family can enjoy a reception in the formal dining room with beautiful dark wooden floors and paneling, in the spacious conference room, in the bright solarium, or on the elegant outdoor terrace with fountains and views of the grounds. Laurel Hall is truly a beautiful canvas for each bride and groom to paint their perfect wedding day.

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER

Jayme Riggleman Photography

Hi! I'm Jayme Riggleman, a wedding photographer based in Zionsville, near Indianapolis, Indiana. I've had a passion for photography for as long as I can remember - from the first camera given to me at a young age, I was captivated by the excitement of capturing moments, memories, and the people experiencing them. I grew up on the West Coast and received a formal photography education from Pacific University. I offer photography packages for weddings, engagements, proposals, families, gymnastics, and more. When I'm not behind the lens, I'm hanging out with my husband and adorable Mini Goldendoodle puppy, serving and living life with our church family, and judging rhythmic gymnastics competitions around the country and world. I have availability for weddings and other photography sessions throughout 2023 and 2024. Let's chat about your story!
